What is a community kitchen?

A small group of people who put in common time, money and skills to prepare, in four steps (planning, purchase, cooking and evaluation) healthy, economical and appetizing dishes.

Community kitchens work collectively toward food autonomy.

  • Access, at all times, to sufficient quantities of food at a reasonable price.

  • Food autonomy can be achieved through individual and collective action for the well-being of our community, in the spirit of sustainable development.
  • Favours the respect of our environment, faire-trade products and responsible consumerism and targets a sustainable balance between current needs and the need of future générations.

Schedule:

Wednesday from 9:30AM to noon every other week.

Cost:

5$ for a family size meal and dessert
